Amgram

Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Amgram: what the service does, what it does not promise, and the rules for using it.

Version 1.1 · effective July 30, 2026

1. This agreement

These Terms are the agreement between you and JF Boyer ("we", "us"), who operates Amgram. By creating an account or using Amgram, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

How we handle your information is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

2. Who may use Amgram

You must be at least 13 years old. Where the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction is higher — 14 in Québec, up to 16 in parts of the European Union — you need a parent or guardian to agree to these Terms for you. You must also have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

One account is for one person. Do not share your account, and do not let someone else use it as if it were theirs.

3. What Amgram is, and what stage it is at

Amgram is an AI assistant with a persistent memory.

Amgram is in beta. Features appear, change, and are withdrawn. Some features are enabled for some accounts and not others while we roll them out. There will be bugs and there may be interruptions. We do not promise that any particular feature will keep existing.

4. Your account

  • Give us an email address you actually control — it is how you sign in and recover access.
  • Keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Tell us at ask@amgram.ai if you believe someone else is using your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time. Where the control is available in the app it is under Settings → Account; otherwise write to ask@amgram.ai and we will do it. It erases your content; the details are in the Privacy Policy.

5. Plans, prices and payment

Amgram may be offered on free plans, paid plans, or both, and being in beta does not mean it is free. Which plan applies to you, what it includes, and what it costs are shown to you before you pay.

Where a plan is paid, the following applies:

  • Prices are stated in the currency shown and exclude taxes unless we say otherwise; applicable taxes are added at purchase.
  • Unless we state otherwise, a paid plan is a subscription: it is billed in advance for each period and renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. We do not refund the unused part of a period, except where the law requires it.
  • If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, that store handles billing, renewal and refunds under its own rules. Manage or cancel the subscription in your store account, not with us, and send refund requests to the store.
  • We may change prices or what a plan includes. We will tell you before a change takes effect for you, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for. If you do not accept a new price, cancel before the next renewal.
  • If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until it is resolved.
  • We apply usage limits on every plan, paid or free, and we may adjust them. If you reach a limit, Amgram will tell you rather than failing silently.

If you are a consumer, nothing in this section limits the rights your local consumer-protection law gives you — including, in the European Union, your right of withdrawal, which you may lose once you ask us to start providing the service immediately.

6. Your content stays yours

You keep every right you have in what you write, upload, and produce with Amgram. We claim no ownership of it.

To operate the service, you give us the permission we need to host, store, process and transmit your content for that purpose and no other. This permission exists so the service can function, it is not transferable to anyone else, and it ends for a piece of content when you delete it.

You confirm you have the right to give us the content you upload — including documents that involve other people or your employer.

7. What the AI produces

Amgram generates text with AI models. That text can be wrong, out of date, incomplete, or confidently invented. It is not reviewed by a human before you see it.

Amgram is not a professional. Nothing it produces is legal, medical, tax, accounting, financial, or engineering advice, even when it sounds like it, and even when it is reading your own data through a connector. Verify anything that matters before acting on it, and consult a qualified professional for decisions with consequences.

You are responsible for what you do with the output. Similar prompts can produce different answers for different people, and output is not unique to you — someone else may receive something similar.

8. What you may not do

Do not use Amgram to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else break it;
  • produce or distribute sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualizes a minor — this ends an account immediately and is reported;
  • harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate anyone, or generate content designed to deceive people about who wrote it;
  • produce malware, exploits, credential-stealing tools, or instructions for weapons intended to cause mass harm;
  • infringe someone's copyright, trademark, trade secrets, or privacy;
  • upload other people's personal information you have no right to hold;
  • scrape, resell, or redistribute the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without telling us, circumvent usage limits or feature gating, or use automation to hammer it;
  • reverse-engineer the service or extract its underlying prompts and models to build a competing product;
  • do anything that puts the service or other users at risk.

9. Reporting and enforcement

Amgram is a private, single-user workspace: there is no feed, no public posting, and no way for another user to send you content. What you see is what you wrote and what the AI generated for you.

The AI models we use apply their providers' own safety filters, so some requests will be refused. If Amgram produces something abusive, unsafe, or otherwise objectionable, report it to ask@amgram.ai — tell us what you asked and what came back. We review reports, and we act on the ones that show a real problem.

If we find an account being used for anything in section 8, we can limit, suspend, or terminate it, with notice where we reasonably can and immediately where the risk requires it.

10. Services you connect

You can authorize Amgram to read from third-party services. When you do, you are authorizing access under your own account at that service, and that service's terms continue to apply to you. We read what you asked us to read and nothing else, and you can disconnect at any time.

We are not responsible for those services: for what they do with your data, for their availability, or for their accuracy. If one of them changes or breaks, the corresponding Amgram feature may change or break with it.

11. Availability, changes, and ending the agreement

We do not promise any level of uptime. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Amgram, and if we discontinue the service entirely we will give you reasonable notice.

You may stop using Amgram and delete your account whenever you want. We may terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we are legally required to, or if we shut the service down. When the agreement ends, your right to use Amgram ends; the sections on your content, disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive.

12. Our intellectual property

Amgram — the software, the interface, the name, and the brand — belongs to us. These Terms give you permission to use the service, not any right in it. Do not use our name or branding to suggest we endorse you.

13. No warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, Amgram is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind — express, implied, or statutory — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that its output will be correct.

Some jurisdictions, including Québec, do not allow certain warranties to be excluded. Where that is the case, this section applies only as far as your law allows, and your statutory rights as a consumer are untouched.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of Amgram — including damages arising from acting on AI output, from a loss of your stored content, or from a third-party service you connected.

Our total liability for any claim relating to Amgram is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD 100).

Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Amgram is not a backup service.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for bodily injury or intentional or gross fault.

15. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you uploaded or something you did with Amgram in breach of these Terms, you will cover the reasonable costs and damages we incur from it, to the extent the law allows.

16. If you installed from the App Store or Google Play

  • This agreement is between you and us only. Apple and Google are not parties to it.
  • Apple and Google have no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for Amgram. Support requests go to us, at the address on our Support page.
  • We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for Amgram and for any claim that it fails to conform or infringes someone's rights, subject to the limits in these Terms.
  • Any purchase you make through a store is billed by that store, and that store's payment, renewal and refund rules govern it.
  • You confirm you are not in a country subject to a trade embargo that would forbid this, and that you are not on any prohibited-party list.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it against you.
  • You must also comply with the applicable terms of the store you installed from.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec, Canada, and the courts of the district of Québec have jurisdiction, without depriving you of the protection of the consumer-protection law of the place where you live, or of the right to bring a claim before the courts there where your law gives you that right.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We bump the version and effective date at the top of the page, and for changes that reduce your rights or add obligations, we tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Amgram after that means you accept the new version; if you do not, delete your account.
